Who is the diamond gentleman?
My name is Mark Kendrick. I work in finance by day and assist fellow gentleman in putting together their perfect proposals by night.
My journey started when I first met my wife in college. We dated for a few years and in 2017 I realized that she was the one.
At this point, I had absolutely no idea about proposals, engagement rings, diamonds, or weddings in general. I had no idea where to propose, how much diamonds cost, how much I was suppose to spend, or what was a good or bad deal, so I did what any guy would do, I went to the local jewelry store. Here I was "pitched" a number of awfully small and exceedingly expensive rings. I was looking at well under a carat, center stones with thick ugly halos for over $8,000. I couldn't believe it. How could these engagement rings be so unimpressive and cost so much?
This is when I started my research. I learned as much as I could about all things diamonds. The more I learned, the more I was getting questions from my friends about The 4c's, diamond shapes, how to get the most for your money, and more. I realized that there wasn't an easy one-stop-shop for everything diamond and proposal related. So that's when I started thediamondgentleman.com.
Here is where I will share everything I have learned over these years. It is my mission to help gentleman like you on everything from finding the perfect place to drop to a knee to how to get the best deal on her dream ring.
